The Lovely Mask of Multiculturalism Slips Off
Oregon, USA - Religious Attire in the Classroom Controversy
Charles Hinckle, he's against it!
http://www.oregonlive.com/opinion/index.ssf/2009/12/keep_religious_influences_out.html
As usual, the comments section is better than the article. Like the post that suggests all teachers be called Mr/Ms. Smith so the kids can't figure out the likely religious affiliations.

Tell Us What We Want to Hear
Tufts University, Boston, Massachusetts - Declaration on Free Speech
A mocking critique of "affirmative action" at Tufts leads this private university to play the community values card. Students, please censor yourselves, so that we don't have to do it for you. Only ideas popular with the Tufts admin are to be expressed. One world, one vision, one mind!

Fact, Fiction and Fables of the Holocaust
1. Are Holocaust memoirs based on ancient archetypes implanted in the modern mind by famous half-Jewish director Fritz Lang in his classic film "Metropolis"? Eric Hunt, the boy who attempted in 2007 to make Elie Wiesel confess that his non-fiction book "Night" is almost entirely fictitious, thinks so.

2. Broward County, Florida - Steven Spielbert/Irene Zisblatt Lawsuit
Eric Hunt, still fighting a virtual one man battle against systematic, government-sponsored Holocaust brainwashing in our schools, is now suing filmmaker Steven Spielberg, self-proclaimed"Holocaust survivor" Irene Zisblatt/Chana Spiegelstein and author Gail Ann Webb in Broward County, Florida over the bizarre tales Zisblatt tells in her Holocaust memoir, "The Fifth Diamond".
Spielberg is included in the lawsuit because he featured Zisblatt in one of his "Shoah" productions which stated at the beginning, "Everything you are about to see is true". But what if Zisblatt's stories aren't true, and couldn't possibly be true? What if they are vicious lies, and are nothing more than "an old blood libel" against the Germans? Shouldn't the book be pulled from schools and labeled as fiction and shouldn't Zisblatt's speeches to school kids be stopped? If not, why not?

An Entire College of Neo-Nazis!
Reed College, Portland, Oregon - Mocking the Holocaust Controversy.
This short article is good for the comments section, including the comments of Leslie Zukor, the student that complained about an "Onion" type article in the humorous student newspaper the Pamphlette which claimed that rival college Lewis and Clark had rounded up and gassed all the Jews on campus.

Can Multiculturalism Be Evil?
Stanford University, California - "American Cultures" Curriculum Criticized
... "The proponents of political correctness have concentrated their efforts on the core of a liberal education, the curriculum. Their efforts will radically alter what new generations of Americans will learn. In this battle the handmaiden of political correctness has been the “multicultural” movement. A number of critics have rightly pointed out that multiculturalism is more than an argument for courses that concentrate on groups that at one time were disadvantaged or oppressed. Rather, multiculturalism involves the systematic restructuring of the curriculum so as to hinder students from learning about the Western tradition. Since the ulterior motive behind political correctness is an attempt to restructure American society along egalitarian lines, it is imperative for its proponents to instill in the minds of students a thoroughgoing cultural relativism.
Perhaps the most disturbing aspect of the politically correct assault on the curriculum is that it has occurred at many of America’s elite universities. Take, for example, the case of Stanford University, an institution that has long played a leadership role in American higher education. Stanford eliminated its long-standing Western civilization requirement in 1988 and replaced it with a multicultural program known as “Cultures, Ideas, and Values.” Under this new program freshmen at Stanford can just as easily study Marxist revolutionaries in Central America as they can Plato, Shakespeare, or Newton.
Stanford has also led the movement away from serious study of history. Students at Stanford, like students at all but one of the other top 50 universities in the United States, are not required to take a single course in history. Instead, they are offered a choice of courses under the heading of “American Cultures.” According to one recent graduate at Stanford, it is impossible to fulfill the “American Cultures” requirement by studying Protestantism, Irish Americans, or the American West, while courses that do fulfill the requirement include “Film and Literature: US-Mexico Border Representations” and “Contemporary Ethnic Drama.” Stanford students must also take courses in “World Cultures” and “Gender Studies” that include “Chicana Expressive Culture” and “Misogyny and Feminism in the Renaissance.”..." ~ William S. Lind, Chapter One, "What Is Political Correctness?" Link: http://www.freecongress.org/centers/cc/pcessay1-3.aspx
